Trains and Triple O !

Hi everyone. I guess I did it again. I have been so incredibly busy that I haven’t been able to find the time to write stories for my blog and I must admit, I miss writing. I have also had several people comment on my second book, After Dinner. They have enjoyed it so much, that they want me to write a third. Which I won’t be doing by the way. I wrapped up all the story lines but left it so I could write a third. I can’t imagine I will. So, I can’t even use that as an excuse for not writing stories for my blog.

I have been busy running my new business which is running a dog kennel. St. Paw’s Dog Services. It is starting to pick up and I have been quite steady. I enjoy the dogs and it keeps me active. Anyway, these next two stories you are going to read, were written back last spring. I hope you find them interesting and I’m sorry for the delay.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all! I’m sure it will be a better year than last year. 2017 was not the best year for my family or me either for that matter, so I’ve decided this year is going to be the best one yet.

I realize I haven’t added to my blog in quite a while and I will make no excuses. I plan to move forward and leave the past year behind except for telling the story of moving into our new home. That’s right, as of November 24th of last year, we have moved out of our RV and into our beautiful new home. It was worth the wait and the nightmare we went through to finally be able to call this lovely house our new home.

First, we had some issues with the city in getting a permit to have our modular home built. Bottom line, they wouldn’t let us build it as big as we wanted so we had to adjust the plans, eliminating approximately 200 square feet. There were other issues as well, but I won’t bore you with all of that. Then we had to wait to have it built because of all the fires in our province this past year. People that had lost their homes to fires came first and as a result, there was a shortage of product to build homes. I was okay with that of course. We had an RV to live in where as some people weren’t as fortunate.

Camping with the Girls!

First, please let me apologize for not updating my blog sooner, but to be honest, I haven’t had much to write about. We have all been so busy around here cleaning up after that horrendous winter we all  lived through and now we have gone to the opposite extreme with this stretch of very hot spring weather. Anyway, enough about the weather.

This past weekend, I went camping with a couple of my friends. We went to a park in the area called Bear Creak Provincial Park. One of my friends’ husbands brought out their motor-home for Jackie and Marsha to stay in (not their real names for obvious reasons. You will realize why later in the story) and Ken brought out our trailer for me to stay in.  I could have stayed in the motor-home but we thought another lady was coming and she was supposed to stay with me but her plans changed.
