My goodness, the time goes by so fast. I just realized I
haven’t written a story for my blog recently. We have been so busy since we
have moved onto our new property. The place needed some attention as the
previous owner let it go a bit. We’ve had lawns to cut, trees to trim and just
plain general maintenance.

Summer Vacation part 1
It’s been an eventful summer. Fortunately, we have been able
to get away several times to camp and holiday not including the seven weeks we
spent at Wood Lake RV Park waiting to get onto our new property. By the way, if
you plan on making reservations at Wood Lake RV Park, make sure you get a quote emailed to you
as when we arrived, the price went up dramatically. We were under such stress
to find a place to stay, that we didn’t bother to get anything in writing, so
we weren’t able to prove what was said in the original conversation. Enough
about that!
As we do every year, we spent the July long weekend at
Pillar Lake Resort with Lindy and the boys; also with our friends, Paul and
Wendy. The weather was great so Ken managed to get in some fishing with the
boys. We did a little bit of swimming even though it isn’t really a lake you
would typically swim in.
Grand Coulee Dam
Ken and I spent a week traveling just over the border in Washington State. We go down there usually twice a year. The Canadian long weekend in May is always spent with friends at Oroville State Park which is about five minutes from the border. Quite often it’s our first camping trip of the year so we are ready to blow of some steam and just relax, ready a good book and in the late afternoon and evening gather around the campfire with all our friends and have a few cold ones, a few laughs and sometimes some singing and dancing. It’s all good fun.
